The purpose of this component is the implementation of a monitoring system for the selective collection containers, and the optimization of the collection routes for these types of waste of the Cabildo of Fuerteventura.
The final objective is to transform the MSW (Urban Solid Waste) collection service into an intelligent service, allowing a more efficient and higher quality service based, among other parameters, on the filling levels of the containers, allowing to determine the behavior profile of each one of them, detect service alerts, analyze the quality and compliance of the service and generate analytical reports of the service that allows a correct decision making.
The solid waste management system is integrated with Component C10: "Smart Island Platform", so that all the data generated can be used by the Scorecard integrated in it.
