The Smart Island Platform is the core of the project, allowing the interconnection of all components and providing a single vision and integrated management of information (consuming and generating data from different services and activities), thus providing greater control over processes and facilitating decision making.
This component includes the implementation of software tools that allow the horizontal management of services, as well as all the software elements for the reading, reception, transformation, extraction and storage of data associated with all components, publication of information, monitoring and reporting required, incorporating Business Intelligence (BI) and Scorecard tools, as well as for the control and operational management of each of the components or vertical services from the Smart platform itself.
In the Fuerteventura Open i-Sland project, the Thinking Cities platform has been implemented, based on Open Source FIWARE technology.
It complies with the capabilities, functionalities and layer model defined in the UNE 178104:2017 standard.
